A conflicting PTE table on the same page

Lower on the same page, a second table of accepted tests gives different PTE scores: 67 with no component below 59 for IELTS 6.0 (5.5) courses, 75 (67) for 6.5 (6.0) and 76 (76) for 7.0 (6.5). Wolverhampton does not say which table takes priority, so confirm your PTE score with international admissions before booking. If you hold more than one English qualification, Wolverhampton considers only the most recent.

Country routes for India, Pakistan, Nepal and Nigeria

From Wolverhampton's country pages for India, Pakistan, Nepal and Nigeria. The India page also lists 72% in Year 12 English from the Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat and Telangana boards, and 70% from CBSE, AISSCE, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and other boards. It does not say which level of study those two figures apply to.

High-school English is accepted on its own if it is no more than 10 years old. Between 10 and 20 years, you also need a medium of instruction letter for a degree completed within five years, or an employer reference. Nigerian WAEC results over 20 years old need a SELT.

Below degree level, pre-sessional and the Student visa

For a course below degree level you need a Secure English Language Test recognised by UKVI, and Wolverhampton accepts only IELTS and Trinity College London ISE. Wolverhampton has a partnership with Oxford International and shares a discount code for the Oxford ELLT after you apply. IELTS One Skill Retake and a pre-sessional English route are not stated on the pages read.

For a Student visa, UK Visas and Immigration asks for English at CEFR B2 for degree-level study and B1 below degree level, per gov.uk. At degree level, gov.uk adds, your university can assess your English itself and may ask you to take a different test.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Wolverhampton programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
