Test rules and the IELTS comparison
The pages name the test as PTE Academic but do not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, a validity period or a Pearson institution code. Check with UOW Malaysia admissions before you book if you plan to take the online test.
On the same pages, PTE 36 sits beside IELTS 4.0, PTE 47 beside IELTS 5.0, PTE 51 beside IELTS 5.5 and PTE 59 beside IELTS 6.0.

If you fall short
Each programme page says that if the English requirement is not met, additional English modules may be taken at UOW Malaysia. The Bachelor of Business page adds that the requirement can be exempted if your foundation or diploma was taught in English, and the handbook accepts a completed English-medium pre-university or diploma programme for bachelor's entry.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UOW Malaysia programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
