Test rules and how to send PTE to UTEP
The undergraduate page says to have scores sent directly to UTEP from the testing centre, that results can take up to five weeks to arrive, and that UTEP does not accept IELTS for undergraduate admission. The testing page says to register and request your score at pearsonpte.com. The graduate page says PTE is not offered on campus. No page states a PTE validity period or mentions PTE Academic Online.
For comparison, the graduate page asks IELTS 6.5 overall against PTE 53.

If your PTE score falls short
The testing page says the ACCUPLACER ESL test is required if your secondary education was not in English and you were admitted with a PTE below 68, and students who enrol in the ESOL Program must complete the course sequence. Spanish speakers who do not pass TOEFL or PTE can take the PAA, with a minimum of 1000.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UTEP programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
