What PTE score do you need for Texas State University?

Both pages say scores older than two years or from a single-skill exam are not accepted. The undergraduate page says scores must be sent officially and electronically by the testing agency: for Pearson, select TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY as the recipient. The graduate page says minimum scores must be met in a single exam and that some programmes may set section scores. Neither page mentions PTE Academic Online.

For comparison, both pages ask IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each section against PTE 52 overall.

The graduate page exempts degrees from listed English-speaking countries, and says applicants whose only degrees are from India, Nepal, Cameroon or Zimbabwe must submit a TOEFL, IELTS, PTE or DET score. The undergraduate page also accepts US coursework routes. Neither page describes a conditional admission route for a low PTE score.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Texas State programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
