What PTE score do you need for UWS?

The page says the at-home PTE test is not accepted and the test must be undertaken at a test centre. It lists Pearson Test of English (Academic) without naming the UKVI version separately and gives no Pearson institution code or PTE validity period.

For comparison, the page asks IELTS 6.0 with no sub-test below 5.5 for undergraduate (BA, BAcc, BEng, BSc) and taught postgraduate (MA, MBA, MSc) courses, and 6.5 with no sub-test below 6.0 for MRes, MPhil, PhD, DBA and DProf.

UWS runs its own UKVI-approved UWS English Language Entry Test, scored in line with IELTS, and pre-sessional English courses for applicants below the requirement.

For a Student visa, gov.uk asks for English at CEFR B2 for study at degree level or above and B1 below degree level, and says a university can assess degree-level applicants' English itself and may ask for a different test (gov.uk).

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UWS programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
