Test rules and how to send PTE to WSU

The Graduate School page says scores must be submitted directly by the testing service to school code 4705, that official scores expire two years after the test date, and that programmes may ask more. The undergraduate page says scores must be less than two years old and can be uploaded with the application, emailed or posted. Neither page mentions PTE Academic Online.

For comparison, the graduate table asks IELTS 6.5, with listening 6.5 and speaking 6.0, against PTEA 56. The undergraduate table pairs IELTS 6.5 with PTEA 58.

If your PTE score falls short

At undergraduate level the requirements page maps lower scores to foundation programmes, as in the table. At graduate level the Graduate School page also accepts a degree from an institution where English was the language of instruction, with an official letter or transcript saying so.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your WSU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
