What Duolingo score do you need for Wesleyan University?

Wesleyan accepts self-reported English proficiency scores during the application. Official scores are required once you matriculate and must be received by July 1.

For most tests Wesleyan prefers scores straight from the testing agency but will also consider screenshots sent by your school. Duolingo results are the exception: they should come directly from the testing agency only, since there is no cost to sending them.

For comparison, the same page lists IELTS Academic 7.5, in person or online, as the minimum expected score.

The page lists other ways to show English proficiency, including TOEFL iBT (5/6 or 100/120), an SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of 700, ACT section scores of 29, and Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency at 190. Because testing is optional, you can also apply without an English test score.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Wesleyan programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
