Test rules and how to send your score
Send your score to Western electronically through your PTE account after the test. Western says it can take at least two weeks for your proof of English request to show as received in Student Center. The page does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a PTE validity period.
On the same page IELTS Academic, at a test centre or via IELTS Online, needs 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each section for direct entry. The graduate page lists TOEFL, IELTS Academic 6.5, Duolingo 115 and CAEL 60 within the last two years, without PTE.

If you fall short
The English Boost Program is Western's route for applicants just below the direct-entry level, and the page gives its PTE entry scores in the table above. Exemption conditions, such as four years of full-time secondary school in English, do not apply to Nursing programmes.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Western programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
