IELTS Liz is one of the best free places to learn how IELTS works: 300+ pages of lessons, model answers and topics, and clear videos on the band criteria. It does not mark your writing or speaking and has no mock tests, and the YouTube channel has posted little recently. Use it to learn the method, then practise somewhere that scores your answers.

What IELTS Liz is
IELTS Liz is run by Liz Ferguson, who describes herself as an experienced, qualified English teacher specialising in IELTS since 2008. She does not claim to be an examiner, and her site states it is not affiliated with IELTS, the British Council or IDP.
The site covers Academic and General Training through free lessons, tips, model answers and topic lists, plus a YouTube channel. Paid video lessons and e-books for Writing Task 2 are sold on ieltslizstore.com.
