1

Do you often listen to audiobooks?

Yes, quite regularly, actually. I tend to pop my headphones on during my daily commute on the underground. It is a great way to pass the time, and I managed to get through an entire historical biography just last month while travelling to work.

2

What kind of books do you prefer listening to?

I usually lean towards gripping fiction, especially mystery thrillers. I find that when a voice actor gives distinct personalities to different characters, it really brings the plot to life. I recently finished a detective series that kept me hooked from start to finish.

3

Do you prefer listening to audiobooks or reading printed books?

To be honest, it really depends on the situation. While paperbacks offer that lovely tactile experience where you can physically turn the pages at bedtime, audiobooks are far more convenient for multitasking, like when I am washing up or doing chores around the flat.

4

Did you listen to audiobooks when you were a child?

Not very often, I suppose. Back then, my parents used to read bedtime stories to me from illustrated picture books instead. We did have a few story cassettes for long car journeys, but they were definitely a rare treat rather than a daily habit.

5

Do you think audiobooks will become more popular in the future?

Definitely, yes. People have increasingly hectic lifestyles nowadays, so having hands-free entertainment on a mobile phone fits seamlessly into a busy routine. I reckon more commuters and gym-goers will make the switch to save time.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
