1

Do you enjoy watching documentaries?

Yes, definitely. I find them really engaging, especially because they offer a deep dive into real-world issues. Just last weekend, I spent a couple of hours watching one about marine conservation, and it was genuinely eye-opening.

2

What kind of documentaries do you prefer?

I'm particularly drawn to nature and history programmes. I love seeing untouched landscapes and learning about ancient civilisations. Whenever I'm winding down in the evening, I usually put on a wildlife series because the cinematography is just breathtaking.

3

Did you watch many documentaries when you were younger?

Not really, to be honest. As a child, I thought they were a bit dry and boring compared to animated films. The only ones I actually sat through were the science programmes our teachers used to show us during secondary school.

4

Do you prefer watching documentaries alone or with other people?

I'd say I usually prefer watching them on my own. That way, I can pause whenever I want and really absorb the information without any distractions. If someone's constantly chatting over the narration, it completely ruins the experience for me.

5

Would you ever like to make a documentary yourself?

It sounds fascinating, but I think it'd be far too demanding. You need immense patience to film for months on end. If I had the chance, though, I suppose I'd create something simple about local street food culture in my hometown.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
