Sample answers

1

Do you often use headphones?

Yes, practically every day, to be honest. I usually pop them on during my morning commute on the train because it helps me block out the background chatter and listen to podcasts in peace.

2

What type of headphones do you prefer to use?

I definitely prefer wireless earbuds over bulky, over-ear ones. They are just so much more convenient to slip into my pocket, especially when I am out for a jog around the local park.

3

In what situations do you usually wear headphones?

Mostly when I am studying in the library or exercising. It helps me stay focused on whatever I am doing. Sometimes, I even wear them while doing household chores like washing up just to make the time pass quicker.

4

Did you use headphones much when you were younger?

Not really, no. Back then, I only had a cheap pair with tangled wires that I rarely used. Most of the time, my brother and I just played music out loud on an old stereo in our bedroom.

5

Do you think you will buy a new pair of headphones in the future?

I reckon I will eventually, probably once my current ones give up on me. I would love to invest in a pair with better noise-cancelling features so I can work properly in noisy cafés.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
