1

Have you ever taken an online course?

Yes, I have, actually. A few months ago, I enrolled on a short graphic design course through a video-learning platform. It was really convenient because I could watch the video lectures in the evening after getting home from work, and it helped me pick up the basics of photo editing.

2

What kind of things do you prefer learning on the internet?

I suppose practical skills like cooking or digital photography suit the internet best. If I get stuck on something specific, like kneading bread dough or adjusting camera settings, I can simply search for a quick tutorial and pause it whenever I need to follow along step by step.

3

Do you find online learning easy or difficult?

To be honest, it is a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, you have the flexibility to go at your own pace, which is brilliant. But on the other hand, it requires a lot of self-discipline because there is no teacher standing over you to keep you on track.

4

Do you prefer studying online or in a traditional classroom?

I definitely lean towards the classroom environment. While online courses are handy, I really miss the face-to-face interaction with classmates and tutors. Being in a physical room creates a certain buzz and makes it much easier to ask spontaneous questions during group discussions.

5

Would you like to do more online courses in the future?

Definitely. I am quite keen to learn conversational Spanish at some point, so I might sign up for a structured course later this year. It would fit around my busy working schedule much better than travelling across town to an evening language school twice a week.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
