1

Do you often send postcards?

Not really, to be honest. I used to write them whenever I went on holiday, but nowadays it's much easier to just drop someone a quick message or share a photo on my mobile phone. I think the last one I posted was from Edinburgh three years ago.

2

Have you ever received a postcard from someone?

Yes, quite a few times actually. My grandmother always sends me one whenever she goes away on a weekend break. I've actually kept a lovely scenic view of the Cornish coast that she sent last summer stuck on my fridge.

3

What kind of postcards do you prefer to buy?

I tend to go for vintage ones or cards that feature local artwork rather than generic tourist snapshots. When I visited a seaside town last year, I bought a hand-painted card of the harbour because it felt far more unique and personal.

4

Did you collect postcards when you were younger?

I did, yes. My older brother and I had a small scrapbook where we kept cards from family holidays, especially ones with pictures of historic castles. It was really exciting waiting for the postman to deliver them after we got back home.

5

Do you think sending postcards will still be popular in the future?

I reckon it'll become even more of a niche hobby. Most people rely on instant messaging now, so physical cards might lose their everyday appeal, though I suppose people will still buy them as keepsakes or retro souvenirs.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
