1

Do you ever take a nap in the afternoon?

Not very often, to be honest. On weekdays, my work schedule is far too hectic, so I rarely get the chance. However, if I've had a particularly exhausting week, I might occasionally doze off on the sofa for about twenty minutes on a Sunday afternoon.

2

When do you usually feel most tired during the day?

I'd say I tend to hit a bit of an afternoon slump around two or three o'clock, usually right after lunch. My energy levels drop quite sharply, so I normally make myself a strong cup of tea to help me power through the rest of the day.

3

Did you use to sleep during the day when you were younger?

Yes, my parents always insisted on quiet time when I was in primary school. Back then, I hated it because I thought I was missing out on playtime, but now that I'm an adult, I actually look back and wish I still had that luxury.

4

Is it common for people in your country to take a siesta?

Not really, no. Most businesses stay open straight through the afternoon, so the working culture doesn't really accommodate daytime rests. Having said that, older people and retired folk do often enjoy a quick snooze after their midday meal.

5

Do you think having a short nap helps people work better?

Definitely. A quick power nap can really recharge your batteries and improve your focus. Whenever I manage to catch forty winks on the weekend, I notice I'm far more alert and productive for the remainder of the evening.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
