1

Do you enjoy sightseeing when you visit a new place?

Yes, definitely. I love soaking up the local atmosphere and getting a proper feel for the culture. Whenever I travel anywhere new, I usually spend the first morning just wandering around the historic centre and taking photos of the old buildings.

2

What kind of sights do you find most interesting?

I'm particularly drawn to historic architecture rather than modern attractions. I find places like ancient castles or old cathedrals fascinating because of their backstory. Last year, I spent hours exploring an old fortress near the coast, and it was brilliant.

3

Do you prefer going sightseeing alone or with other people?

To be honest, I prefer going with a small group of friends or my partner. It's much more enjoyable when you can share the experience and discuss what you're seeing. Plus, it's always handy having someone there to take a few photos of you!

4

Did you go sightseeing much when you were younger?

Not as much as I do now, really. My parents tended to choose quiet beach holidays where we just relaxed by the sea. We occasionally visited a local museum on rainy days, but we rarely went out of our way to see famous tourist spots.

5

Is there a famous landmark you would really like to see in the future?

I'd really love to see the ancient pyramids in Egypt one day. I've read quite a bit about their history, and seeing them in person must be breathtaking. It's definitely right at the top of my travel wish list.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
