1

Do you live in a tower block?

No, I don't actually. I live in a fairly traditional two-storey terraced house in the suburbs. To be honest, I prefer having a small garden out the back, though a few of my friends rent flats in modern high-rise buildings closer to the city centre.

2

Are there many tower blocks where you live?

In my immediate neighbourhood, not really, as it's mostly residential low-rise housing. But if you head into the town centre, there's been a real boom recently. Quite a few sleek apartment complexes and commercial blocks have sprung up over the last five years.

3

What are the advantages of living in a tall building?

I suppose the main perk is the view, especially if you're high up and get a panoramic look over the skyline. They also tend to have great security, like on-site concierges, and you're often right in the thick of things near public transport links.

4

Did you live in a high-rise building when you were a child?

No, not at all. I grew up in a semi-detached house with a modest back garden. I remember visiting my cousin once, who lived on the tenth floor of a block of flats, and I was absolutely terrified of looking over the balcony!

5

Would you like to live on the top floor of a tower block in the future?

I'm a bit torn, really. While having a penthouse view with plenty of natural light sounds amazing, I'd probably get annoyed waiting for the lift during the morning rush. So, I reckon a middle floor would suit me much better.
