1

Have you ever seen a waterfall in person?

Yes, I have, actually. A couple of years ago, I went hiking in the Lake District with a friend, and we stumbled upon a small cascade hidden in the woods. The sound of the rushing water was incredible, and feeling the cool mist on my face was really refreshing after a long walk.

2

Do you enjoy visiting natural sights like waterfalls?

Definitely. I find them incredibly peaceful, especially when I need a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Being out in nature and watching water cascade over the rocks helps me switch off completely and just enjoy the moment.

3

Are there many waterfalls in your country?

Not in the area where I live, as it's fairly flat, but we do have some stunning ones in the mountainous regions up north. People often travel there on bank holiday weekends to go trekking and take photos of the scenery.

4

Did you visit any waterfalls when you were a child?

I did once, during a primary school trip to a national park. To be honest, I was only about eight years old, so what I remember most is getting my trainers completely soaked while trying to skip stones across the stream at the bottom.

5

Would you like to visit famous waterfalls in other countries?

I'd love to, without a doubt. Seeing a massive waterfall like the ones in South America or Africa is high on my bucket list. The sheer scale and power of that much water must be an unforgettable sight in real life.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
