1

Have you ever been to a wedding?

Yes, quite a few actually. The most recent one was my cousin's wedding in Manchester last summer. It was a traditional church service followed by a lively evening reception, and I had a great time catching up with relatives I hadn't seen for years.

2

What do people usually wear to weddings in your country?

Well, people tend to dress quite formally. Men typically wear a tailored suit with a tie, whereas women usually go for smart dresses or elegant traditional attire. It's considered bad form to wear white, of course, because you shouldn't upstage the bride.

3

Do you prefer big weddings or small, intimate ones?

I'd definitely lean towards smaller gatherings. Massive weddings can feel a bit overwhelming, and the bride and groom barely have time to speak to anyone. With an intimate ceremony, the atmosphere is much more relaxed and meaningful for close friends and family.

4

What is the most memorable wedding you have attended?

That would be my older sister's wedding a couple of years ago. They hired a marquee in the countryside, and just as they started taking their vows, it poured with rain. Instead of ruining the mood, it made everyone laugh and feel closer together.

5

Have wedding celebrations in your country changed much in recent years?

I think so, yes. Younger couples are moving away from rigid religious ceremonies and opting for civil services at registry offices or outdoor venues. Celebrations seem much more personalised now, rather than just sticking to strict customs.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
