Overall, it is evident that males represent a larger proportion of the gaming population than females across all age brackets. Furthermore, role-playing games dominate the market, capturing nearly half of the total gamer preference.
Regarding age and gender, the 20-29 age group shows the highest participation, with 35% of males and 10% of females. In contrast, the under-12 category records the lowest engagement, at 9% for males and 5% for females. Across all age groups, male participation is consistently higher than female participation. For instance, in the 13-19 and 30+ brackets, male figures stand at 18% and 12% respectively, while female figures remain significantly lower at 8% and 3%.
In terms of game preferences, role-playing games are the most favoured, accounting for 48% of the total. Action games follow at 20%, while strategy and turn-based games comprise 17%.
