What PTE score do you need for Aberystwyth University?

The postgraduate tiers mirror IELTS 6.0 (5.5), 6.5 (5.5), 7.0 (6.0) and 7.5 (7.0). At undergraduate level the IELTS split is 6.0 (5.5) for Computer Science and Business and 6.5 (5.5) for everything else, but PTE 59 (59) is accepted for both.

Neither page states a PTE validity period, an online-test rule or a combining rule for PTE, and the postgraduate page links to Pearson's test-centre list. Undergraduate Nursing asks for IELTS 7 with set skill scores and gives no PTE figure.

Aberystwyth's International English Centre runs pre-sessional courses; the requirements pages list the pre-sessional course report marks that count for entry (for example a 50% pass for the 6.0-level courses), but give no PTE entry score for the pre-sessional itself.

For the Student visa itself, gov.uk asks for English equivalent to CEFR B2 at degree level or above and B1 below degree level, and says a university can assess degree-level applicants' English itself. Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Aberystwyth programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
