Zicklin graduate programs: IELTS 7.0
Zicklin's international page calls these "minimum recommended" scores, and its FAQ calls them the minimum scores needed. TOEFL and IELTS results are valid for two years, and the Zicklin TOEFL code is 2034. You are exempt only with a bachelor's, master's or doctorate from the US or a listed English-speaking country, or documented attendance at a US school from grades 1 to 12; years of living and working in the US do not count. See the international applicants page.
Zicklin's list includes the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and Caribbean countries, but not India or Pakistan. CUNY's central graduate international page also says students from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan must still take the test. The Marxe School of Public Affairs accepts Duolingo, TOEFL (code 2027) or IELTS and does not print a minimum on its requirements page.

Freshman applicants apply through CUNY and send supporting documents to CUNY, not Baruch. The Baruch catalog asks for TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.5, and waives the test for applicants from English-speaking countries or with SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing of 480 or more. CUNY's comparison table adds PTE 53 and Duolingo 105 for Baruch. Scores go to CUNY code 2950. See the undergraduate catalog and CUNY score table.
Student visa and next steps
The US F-1 student visa sets no English test score of its own. What counts is the requirement Baruch College sets for admission, which leads to your Form I-20. For the wider picture of studying in the US with each test, see IELTS for the USA and PTE for the USA.
Requirements change between admission cycles. Check the Zicklin international applicants page again before you book a test, and check your own program page, which can set a higher bar.
