You do not need a test if you are a US citizen, have a previous degree from a US college, or are from or earned a degree from a qualifying country. The list includes Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Ghana, Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Nigeria, Singapore, South Africa and the UK; India and Pakistan are not on it.

First-year applicants provide one of: TOEFL iBT 71 (2025 and before) or 4 (2026 and beyond), IELTS 6.0, PTE 48, Duolingo 100, ELS Level 112, or attendance at a high school or other institution using English as the primary language of instruction for at least one academic year.
