Test rules and how to send your score
The international admissions page says PTE and Duolingo takers should submit official scores; it lets IELTS takers upload a verifiable TRF and TOEFL takers upload a scanned report. None of the pages mentions PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a PTE validity period. For international graduate applicants, Clarkson does not automatically waive the test on language of instruction, does not accept university certificates and does not accept IELTS General.
On the same pages, IELTS 6.5 is the equivalent of PTE 56 at both levels.

If you fall short
The pages read do not describe a conditional admission or pathway route with a PTE entry score. Undergraduates are waived from English testing with at least 550 on SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, or with IB or A-level results.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Clarkson programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
