What IELTS score do you need for Colorado State University?

The Graduate School accepts TOEFL (MyBest included), IELTS Academic (One Skill Retake included), Duolingo and PTE Academic, taken within two years. It does not accept IELTS General Training, IELTS Indicator, iTEP, TOEFL ITP or TOEFL Essentials. Below the clear-admission scores, conditional admission requires the Intensive English Program, and regular courses need approval from your department and the Graduate School. Testing is required where a country has official languages other than, or in addition to, English. India is not on the Graduate School's exempt list, which includes Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Ghana, Ireland, New Zealand, Nigeria, Singapore and the UK. A recent US degree or a recent degree from a listed country also exempts you. Departments may set higher scores, especially for teaching assistants.

Undergraduates need TOEFL 72 or 4.0, IELTS Academic 6.0, Duolingo 110 or Manchester 350; PTE is not in the undergraduate table. Alternatives include SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 520, ACT English or Reading 20, IB HL English 5, IGCSE or A-level English C, or AP English 4.
