Concordia English test minimums
Undergraduate scores are from Concordia's undergraduate English proficiency page; graduate scores are from the School of Graduate Studies English proficiency page. Undergraduate TOEFL is 70, or 4.0 with no section below 3.5 on the new scale; graduate TOEFL is 86 with 20 per section, or 4.5 with no section below 4.0. MyBest scores are accepted.
Undergraduates can also use CAEL 50 (no part under 50), Cambridge C1 Advanced 175 or C2 Proficiency 190 (no part under 165). Graduate defaults include CAEL 70 and Cambridge 180.

Faculty examples and conditional admission
John Molson School of Business graduate programs need IELTS 7.0 with no band below 6.5 and offer no conditional admission. The Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science sets IELTS 6.5 overall, TOEFL 85, Duolingo 120 and PTE 57, with conditional admission plus required English courses from IELTS 6.0. Some Arts and Science and Fine Arts programs ask for IELTS 7.0 to 7.5.
In the default graduate standard, IELTS 6.5 with no band under 6.0 can bring admission with ESL courses. Seven undergraduate programs, including Creative Writing, Professional Writing and Teaching English as a Second Language, need higher scores, and admitted undergraduates may sit a placement test for first-year ESL courses.

Study permit and PGWP: separate rules
Concordia's scores decide admission only. IRCC sets no minimum English score for a study permit; any language condition is written into your letter of acceptance (see IELTS for a Canada study permit). The Post-Graduation Work Permit is a separate test again: university graduates need CLB 7 in all four skills, proved with IELTS General Training, CELPIP-General or PTE Core, not IELTS Academic (see IELTS for the PGWP).
