What PTE score do you need for Curtin University?

The test must have been taken within two years of application, but Curtin says it may then be used for entry until the next semester intake. Results from multiple English tests will not be combined. The higher criteria page lists PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI among accepted tests for those courses and sends you to Curtin's English competency equivalents chart for the exact scores.

Curtin's pages do not mention PTE Academic Online or a Pearson institution code. Curtin does not list PTE Core. Pearson's PTE Core FAQ says PTE Core is initially only suitable for work and migration visa routes to Canada and that PTE Academic is the test accepted for university study.

For comparison, the same page sets IELTS Academic (or IELTS UKVI) at 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each band.

Curtin accepts its own Curtin English Language Bridging (ELB) program, taken within two years of application. The higher criteria page says the ELB route is not accepted for a list of courses including the education degrees, nursing, the psychology and clinical psychology masters, the Doctor of Physiotherapy, the Master of Social Work and the Master of Teaching. Curtin College also runs diplomas that lead into Curtin.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Curtin programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
