What do I do if I forgot my myPTE password or username?

For a password, select 'Forgotten your username or password?' on the myPTE sign-in screen and follow the reset link. For a username, submit Pearson's Customer Support form; Pearson verifies your identity before releasing it, so have your security questions ready. Do not open a second account: Pearson allows one per person, and you cannot book until duplicates are merged.

Do not create a second account

Pearson allows one myPTE account per person for security reasons. If you create two by accident, they must be merged before you can book, which may delay your booking (booking help).

The retake policy adds that creating a new account to get round its rules delays the release of future scores and may breach the malpractice policy.

Keep your login to yourself

Pearson says an authorised agent can help you book but should never need direct access to your myPTE login details (booking help). Reset your password if anyone else has had your login.
