The British Council's booking system stopped answering our requests part-way through, so we could not count its Ho Chi Minh City dates to 31 December. Its Vietnam site says IELTS runs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City at 9.00 and 14.00, Monday to Sunday.

PTE test centres in Ho Chi Minh City
Pearson's test centre finder listed four PTE centres in Ho Chi Minh City on 10 October 2026, all partner venues: Duc Anh Overseas Study Advice & Translation, EMG Education, Scotch AGS SG Center and Scotch AGS West SG. Pearson's price finder lists PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI for Vietnam but not PTE Core, so the Canadian immigration test cannot be taken here.
Pearson's finder does not say which tests each centre runs on which day. When you book, choose PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI or PTE Core first and then your city; only centres with slots for that test appear.

How to book, what ID to bring, and when results arrive
IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Ho Chi Minh City and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. Bring the same identity document you entered when you booked.
PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then Ho Chi Minh City, a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport. Vietnam is not on its list of countries where another ID is accepted, so bring your passport.
Results: the British Council's booking system says 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
