Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Yangon?

Pearson's test centre finder listed two PTE centres in Yangon on 30 October 2026, both partner venues: Royal Academic Institute and RITZ Exam Center. They are the only PTE centres in Myanmar.

Pearson's finder does not say which tests each centre runs on which day. When you book, choose the test first and then your city; only centres with slots for that test appear.

Read on 29 and 30 October 2026 in the British Council's booking system, IDP's Yangon test-date page and Pearson's price finder with Myanmar selected. Both IELTS and PTE are priced in US dollars in Myanmar. IELTS at the British Council is USD 20 cheaper than PTE Academic.

Refund, transfer and payment rules are in our IELTS fee in Myanmar and PTE fee in Myanmar guides.

The British Council also tests in Mandalay. Bangkok is the nearest city abroad with many dates and a Pearson-run PTE centre; see our Bangkok guide and the Myanmar test centre list.

IELTS: book online with the British Council, choose Yangon and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. Bring the same identity document you entered when you booked.

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then Yangon or the nearest city with a centre, and pick a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport, and Myanmar is not on its list of country exceptions, so bring your passport. Anyone testing outside their country of citizenship must show a passport in any case.

Results: IDP's session listings say 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
