IELTS test centres in Bangkok
In the British Council's booking system Bangkok had 363 IELTS Academic sessions on computer between 30 October to 31 December 2026, spread over nine venues. British Council Bangkok (Siam) and Westminster's Silom Edge and Ladprao centres had sessions almost every day. IELTS for UKVI ran at British Council Bangkok (54 days), Silom Edge (17) and Ladprao (8). There were no paper-based sessions.
IDP's Bangkok page showed 2,175 upcoming sessions. Its first 50 were at five rooms: Silom - IDP Education, Asoke - International House, MBK Center - Ignite by OnDemand, Thonburi - KruJeab IELTS and Phayathai - English Parks. IDP also lists New Cambridge Institute, Interpass Institute and AUA Language Centre as Bangkok venues. Silom offers IELTS on computer with Writing on paper, and IDP says paper-based IELTS runs weekly, usually on Saturdays.

PTE test centres in Bangkok
Pearson's test centre finder listed four PTE centres in Thailand on 30 October 2026. One is in Bangkok: Pearson Professional Centers-Bangkok, run by Pearson itself. Thammasat University's Rangsit campus in Pathum Thani, just north of the city, is the nearest alternative.
Pearson's finder does not say which tests each centre runs on which day. When you book, choose the test first and then your city; only centres with slots for that test appear.

Read on 29 and 30 October 2026 in the British Council's booking system, IDP's Bangkok test-date page and Pearson's price finder with Thailand selected. IELTS costs the same at both providers and at every Bangkok venue we checked. Pearson prices PTE in Thailand in US dollars.

How to book, what ID to bring, and when results arrive
IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Bangkok and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. Bring the same identity document you entered when you booked.
PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then Bangkok or the nearest city with a centre, and pick a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport, and Thailand is not on its list of country exceptions, so bring your passport. Anyone testing outside their country of citizenship must show a passport in any case.
Results: IDP's session listings say 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
