Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Phuket?

Pearson's test centre finder listed no PTE centre in Phuket on 30 October 2026. Its four Thai centres are in Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Chon Buri and Chiang Mai, so from Phuket the practical choice is Pearson Professional Centers-Bangkok.

Read on 29 and 30 October 2026 in the British Council's booking system, IDP's Phuket test-date page and Pearson's price finder with Thailand selected. IELTS in Phuket costs the same as in Bangkok. If you need IELTS for UKVI or PTE, add the cost of travel to Bangkok.

Refund, transfer and payment rules are in our IELTS fee in Thailand and PTE fee in Thailand guides.

IDP also tests in Hat Yai (C-Bright Language School) and Chumphon. For IELTS for UKVI, British Council venues or a PTE centre, Bangkok is the nearest option; see our Bangkok guide and the Thailand test centre list.

IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Phuket and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. Bring the same identity document you entered when you booked.

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then Phuket or the nearest city with a centre, and pick a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport, and Thailand is not on its list of country exceptions, so bring your passport. Anyone testing outside their country of citizenship must show a passport in any case.

Results: IDP's session listings say 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
