IELTS test cities in Myanmar
Centres come from the ielts.org test centre finder and the British Council's dates, fees and locations page, which names Yangon and Mandalay as its official test centre locations. IDP had no Myanmar venue on ielts.org. We do not give addresses because venues move; check the venue in your booking confirmation.

How to choose where to sit
The fee is USD 210 in both cities, so choose on distance and date. If you need IELTS for UKVI for a UK visa, plan for Yangon, the only Myanmar venue ielts.org marks UKVI approved. Paper IELTS ended on 28 June 2026, so every centre now tests on computer, with results typically in 1 to 5 days.
Outside Yangon and Mandalay, IELTS Online needs a laptop or desktop computer, a webcam, a stable connection and a private room, and it is for IELTS Academic only. It is not accepted for migration, so check your university accepts it. The IELTS Online vs computer vs paper guide compares the formats.

ID and booking
