IELTS test cities in Brazil by provider
City lists come from the British Council's dates, fees and locations page, IDP's test centre finder and the ielts.org test centre finder for Brazil, which listed 23 venues on 13 October 2026. ielts.org also lists a Winner Idiomas venue in Goiânia (Winner runs one of IDP's São Paulo venues), but IDP's own city list has no Goiânia page, and its Campinas, Cascavel and Florianópolis pages showed no dates. We leave out addresses because venues move.

How to choose a centre
For a UK visa, book IELTS for UKVI or Life Skills: the British Council offers it in Brasília, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo (UKVI page), and IDP runs UKVI sessions at MTS Brasil and Cultura Inglesa Saúde in São Paulo. Everywhere else you sit standard IELTS Academic or General Training, which is fine for universities and for Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
In the south, IDP is the only provider listed in Porto Alegre, Joinville and Londrina; in the north-east, the British Council is the only one with dates in Recife and Salvador. Prices differ by venue at IDP, from BRL 1,350 in Curitiba to BRL 1,460 at two São Paulo venues, so compare before you book.
