IELTS test cities in Taiwan by provider
Venues come from the ielts.org test centre finder, IDP's Taiwan test finder and the British Council's dates, fees and locations page, which names Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung with up to 30 test dates a month. Many venues are language schools. We give venue names, not addresses.

How to choose a centre
The fee for IELTS Academic or General Training is TWD 9,000 everywhere, so choose on city and date. IDP's Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung pages already listed sessions in 2027, and Cosmos Tainan had more Tainan dates than IDP's own office. Hsinchu and Taoyuan had no IELTS venue on ielts.org; travel to Taipei or Taichung.
For IELTS for UKVI, use IDP Taipei or the British Council's Taipei Xinyi or Kaohsiung Metro Academy venues. IDP is TWD 700 cheaper for UKVI. One Skill Retake is marked at IDP Taipei, IDP Taichung, Time Taipei and every British Council venue.

ID and booking
IDP Taiwan accepts only a valid passport, scanned at booking and shown in original on test day. During typhoon days off work, IDP cancels that day's tests and contacts you to rebook. Fees and refund rules are in our IELTS exam fee in Taiwan guide.
