Dates and how to choose
The booking system listed 65 standard IELTS sessions for each module between October 2026 and September 2027, with morning and afternoon starts. IELTS for UKVI had 17 sessions between 21 October and 16 December 2026, so book UKVI early if a visa deadline is close. Life Skills A1 sessions were also open in Kampala.
Candidates outside Kampala (Gulu, Mbarara, Jinja and elsewhere) have to travel, as no other Ugandan city had sessions. If travel is hard, Nairobi or Kigali are the nearest foreign options. Fees and payment are in IELTS exam fee in Uganda.

On the day
Listening, Reading and Writing are taken together with no break, and you choose your Speaking slot when you book. Bring the same original passport or national ID you booked with. Results on computer usually arrive within two days, and you can book a One Skill Retake within 60 days if one skill falls short.
