What Duolingo score do you need for Illinois Tech?

Graduate applicants must submit an official score report, and test scores are valid for two years from the test date. The undergraduate page gives the same two-year rule for TOEFL and IELTS but does not mention Duolingo validity.

For comparison, the graduate page sets IELTS at 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each subsection, and the undergraduate page sets IELTS at 6.5 or above.

Graduate applicants may be offered conditional admission in two forms: admission with English language courses taken alongside your degree courses, as set by English Language Services, or admission after first completing an intensive English programme such as ELS Level 112. Undergraduates may be admitted on condition that they first complete an intensive English programme at a partner institution.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Illinois Tech programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
