What IELTS score do you need for Kansas State University?

K-State accepts TOEFL, PTE and IELTS (academic and home edition), but not Duolingo, TOEFL ITP, PTE home edition or the WildCAT EPT. Programs may use TOEFL MyBest or the most recent iBT, and individual programs may set stricter requirements. A degree from a US college or university exempts you. Applicants from listed English-speaking countries such as Australia, Ghana, Kenya, New Zealand, Nigeria, the Philippines and the UK are also exempt; India is not on the list. See exempt countries.

If your scores are below the minimum, the Graduate Pathway Program offers provisional admission. Track 1 mixes one or two Advanced English courses with one or two graduate classes; Track 2 starts with a semester of intensive English. English proficiency is not required for undergraduate admission, but you must meet K-State's standards before you enroll in courses. Scores that waive English classes include Duolingo 110, IELTS 6.5, PTE 53, TOEFL 79 or 4.5 (MyBest included), SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 460 and ACT English 21.
