What IELTS score do you need for Lawrence Technological University?

Graduate applicants for whom English is a second language need TOEFL iBT 79, 4.5 on the TOEFL 1–6 scale, IELTS 6.0, Duolingo 105, MET 60 or PTE Academic 60. Undergraduates need TOEFL 60 (4.0), IELTS 5.5, Duolingo 95, MET 56 or PTE 50. LTU says select programs, especially at master's and doctoral level, may have additional requirements, so check your program page. See international students.

Note that PTE 60 is the graduate figure, which is higher than many universities ask alongside IELTS 6.0.

A bachelor's or master's degree from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK or the US satisfies the requirement. So does graduating from a US high school with at least two years of standard-level English at B or higher, a British curriculum or the IB Diploma. Degrees from India, Pakistan or Nigeria are not on that list. If you need help reaching the scores, LTU can refer you to English as a Second Language programs.

Documents must arrive at least 90 days before term: the deadlines LTU lists are 13 October 2026 for Spring 2027 and 27 May 2027 for Fall 2027.
