What PTE score do you need for Loughborough University?

Loughborough lists the Pearson Test of Academic English as a centre-based test, so the online version is not on the list. English language tests must be no more than two years old at the start of the course. Loughborough does not accept medium of instruction letters as evidence. The page gives no Pearson institution code.

The page sets the standard at IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each element and says some Schools may ask for more; MSc Clinical Exercise Physiology, for example, needs IELTS 6.5 with 6.5 in reading and writing. Your offer communication will state the requirement.

Loughborough offers pre-sessional English language programmes, at the discretion of the School or Department, as an alternative way to meet the requirement.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Loughborough programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
