Test rules and how to send your score

Both pages say test scores are valid for up to two years from the test date and that official scores must be sent directly by the testing agency, as MTSU cannot accept score reports submitted by students. Neither page mentions PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a Pearson institution code. The graduate page says only F-1 students must submit English proficiency unless a programme says otherwise.

On the same pages, IELTS is 5.5 for general undergraduate entry, 6.0 for Professional Pilot and Nursing, and 6 for graduate study. MTSU's PTE bars are high next to those IELTS levels, so compare both tests before booking.

If you fall short

Undergraduates can use an ELS Level 110 certificate (Level 112 for Pilot and Nursing), and graduates an ELS Level 112 certificate of completion, in place of a test. Neither page describes a conditional admission route tied to a PTE score.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your MTSU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
