UK PTE centres and which are SELT-approved
The table lists every UK entry in Pearson's centre list behind its fees finder, read on 10 October 2026, checked against the Home Office's list of approved test centres in the UK dated 2 October 2026, linked from gov.uk. Centres not on that list can still run PTE Academic, for example for university admission or an Australian visa.

Choosing a centre for a visa, ILR or citizenship test
If you live near the Nottingham, Norwich, Hull, Reading, Brighton, Plymouth, Bournemouth or Aberdeen centres, the local Pearson centre cannot deliver PTE Academic UKVI or PTE Home for your application. Approved alternatives include Leicester (for Nottingham), Cambridge or Peterborough (Norwich), Leeds or Sheffield (Hull), Uxbridge (Reading), Croydon (Brighton), Portsmouth (Bournemouth), Bristol (Plymouth) and Edinburgh or Glasgow (Aberdeen).
Pearson's coverage complements IELTS: Sheffield, Leicester, Liverpool, Oxford, Peterborough and Wolverhampton have an approved Pearson SELT centre but no IELTS for UKVI venue. When booking, choose PTE Academic UKVI or the right PTE Home level first; only centres that run it will offer slots (how to book).

PTE Academic UKVI costs GBP 230 and PTE Home GBP 170 at every UK centre; reschedule free while more than 14 full calendar days remain, and refunds fall to 50% inside 14 days and nothing inside 7 (Pearson policy). Full details are in PTE fee in the UK.
