RWTH PTE Academic minimums by level
From RWTH's language requirements page and its language requirements PDF, which assigns each programme to a paragraph of the general examination regulations (ÜPO). The PDF gives overall PTE scores only.

Test rules and the IELTS comparison
RWTH only accepts language tests whose results can be verified by the provider, so make sure RWTH is authorised as a recipient of your results and that the provider's validity period is observed. The pages do not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core.
In the PDF, IELTS 6.0 and TOEFL iBT 90 (or 4.5) sit in the B2 list with PTE 60; IELTS 7.0 and TOEFL iBT 100 (or 5) sit in the C1 list with PTE 70.

If your PTE score falls short
Applicants with a high school diploma or degree from the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United States are exempt; citizenship alone does not count. Students already enrolled at RWTH can take a Language Center placement test. RWTH does not publish a pre-sessional course with a PTE entry score on these pages.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your RWTH programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
