TU Darmstadt PTE Academic minimums
From TU Darmstadt's international applicants page and the Information and Communication Engineering master's page.
| Programme or band | PTE overall | Minimum per skill |
|---|---|---|
| Master's taught in English (e.g. Information and Communication Engineering) | 76 | Not stated |
| Mechanics, M.Sc. | 59 | Not stated |
Test rules and the IELTS comparison
The pages do not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, a validity period or a Pearson sending method. The AI and Machine Learning master's page lists UNIcert III, TOEFL, IELTS 7.0, CEFR C1 "or equivalent" without a PTE figure, so confirm PTE with that department.
On the central page, IELTS 7.0 and TOEFL iBT 95 (or 5 to 5.5) sit next to PTE 76; for Mechanics, IELTS 5.5 and TOEFL iBT 72 (or 4 to 4.5) sit next to PTE 59.

If your PTE score falls short
Confirmation from your previous university that English was the language of instruction is accepted on both lists. The central page does not describe a pre-sessional course with a PTE entry score.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your TU Darmstadt programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
