What PTE score do you need for SETU?

The page says English test results must normally have been issued within two years before the start of a programme, and points to SETU's English Language Policy for detail. It lists PTE (Academic) without a note on online testing or an institution code.

Pearson's own PTE Core FAQ describes PTE Core as a general English test that is initially suitable only for work and migration routes to Canada, and says PTE Academic is the test accepted for university study.

For comparison, the same page asks IELTS Academic 6 for postgraduate entry and 5.5 with a minimum of 5 in each component for undergraduate entry.

For undergraduate entry, SETU accepts an overall pass in its own Certificate in English for Academic Study or Certificate in Academic English. Applicants who completed an Irish qualification such as the Leaving Certificate or QQI Level 5 and above do not need separate English evidence.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your SETU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
