| TOEIC | 750 |

| Cambridge | FCE |
| iTEP | 3.9 |
Exempt countries and English-medium degrees
The page lists countries whose nationals need not take an English test. They include Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Zambia and Zimbabwe, plus the UK, US, Ireland, Canada (except Quebec), Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal do not appear on it.
Students who completed a bachelor's, master's or doctorate taught in English at an accredited institution may also be exempt, which can cover many Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Nepali graduates of English-medium degrees. The wording says they can be exempted, so ask the admissions office to confirm your case.

Partner students, French and checking your offer
The page also describes a separate route for students nominated under exchange or double-degree agreements, who may use an official language certificate from their home institution instead. Everyone else applies through the programme's own procedure, and the page says conditions can vary from one programme to another.
For programmes that need French, the minimum is DELF B2, and French classes run throughout the academic year. The page was last modified in March 2026 according to its metadata.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Télécom SudParis programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Télécom SudParis publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
If you are close to the line, aim for a margin above it: one weak skill can miss the requirement even when the overall band clears it. Not sure where you stand? Take a free IELTS mock test and get a band for each skill.
