What the IELTS must look like
Both pages accept IELTS for UKVI and IELTS One Skill Retake, and TOEFL iBT Home Edition. TOEFL MyBest Scores are not accepted. The certificate must be dated 1 January 2024 or later.
Cattolica will not consider an application without the certificate: if your result is missing or below the requirement, the application is rejected and there is no second evaluation.

Exemptions, and the South Asia visa rule
Master's applicants who studied in Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Ireland, Malta, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK or the USA are exempt automatically. A full degree taught in English elsewhere can give a conditional exemption with an official medium-of-instruction letter.
That exemption does not help everyone: non-EU students who must apply for a study visa in Iran, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan or Nepal must submit a language certificate at application, because the embassies require it for the visa. If your degree was awarded before January 2024, Cattolica may also ask for a certificate.
For bachelor's applicants, school systems such as the UK, US, Singapore and Ireland give an automatic exemption; Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda and other listed African countries are assessed case by case on final exam results.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Cattolica programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
