Test rules and how to send PTE to Dayton
The graduate page says proof of English must be submitted directly from the testing centre using UD's institution code 1834. Neither page states a validity period or mentions PTE Academic Online.
For comparison, the graduate page asks IELTS 6.5 against PTE 60, and the undergraduate catalog asks IELTS 6.0 against PTE 50.

If your PTE score falls short
The catalog says undergraduate applicants who cannot show the required English may be considered for conditional admission and must complete the Intensive English Program or reach the minimum test score. The IEP page says conditionally admitted undergraduates must finish the Advanced Academic level and graduate students the Graduate Academic level.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Dayton programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
