Nevada Global offers international graduate students three tracks. Graduate Direct lists TOEFL 79, IELTS 6.5, PTE 59 and Cambridge 176 but Duolingo 105, lower than the Graduate School's 115, so confirm which applies to you. Advanced MAP takes IELTS 6.0 and MAP takes IELTS 5.5. Nevada Global waives testing for a bachelor's degree earned in residence at an English-medium US institution or in a listed country; degrees earned online do not count. See Nevada Global graduate admissions.
Undergraduate and MBA
First-year applicants need TOEFL 61, IELTS Academic 6.0, Duolingo 95, Cambridge 169 or PTE Academic 46, or a US high school diploma; SAT or ACT scores may also count. The undergraduate exempt list includes Malaysia and Singapore. See international undergraduate admissions. The on-campus MBA lists TOEFL 79, IELTS 6.5 or Duolingo 115, waived after a degree taught in English in listed countries. See the MBA checklist.
Student visa and next steps
The US F-1 student visa sets no English test score of its own. What counts is the requirement the University of Nevada, Reno sets for admission, which leads to your Form I-20. For the wider picture of studying in the US with each test, see IELTS for the USA and PTE for the USA.
Requirements change between admission cycles. Check the UNR Graduate School international admissions page again before you book a test, and check your own program page, which can set a higher bar. To see where you stand now, take a timed IELTS mock test.
