What PTE score do you need for UT Tyler?

The page lists the Pearson Test of English among accepted tests but does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, a validity period or a Pearson institution code. The code 6850 is for TOEFL. Send your score through your Pearson account and confirm receipt with UT Tyler.

On the same page, IELTS is 6.5 for undergraduates and 6.5 with 6.0 in each subsection for graduate study, so PTE 53 is accepted where UT Tyler asks IELTS 6.5. Psychology and counseling ask TOEFL 87, IELTS 7.0 with 6.5 in each subsection or Duolingo 115.

Applicants who completed a high school diploma, or an associate, bachelor's, master's, doctoral or professional degree at a US institution do not need to submit English test scores. UT Tyler waives the requirement for undergraduates who graduated from a US high school. The page does not describe a conditional admission or ESL pathway with a PTE entry point.
